Hi, Richard -
If your wiper motor isn't parking properly and if you installed the blade
arms on the shafts when the wipers weren't parked in the correct location,
they could try to wipe something other than the windshield.

You could remove the arms, make a mark on the shafts in-line with where the
blades should be when parked, turn on the wipers and turn them off and see
if they stop in the same place each time. If they don't, they aren't
parking correctly.

I just installed the wiper blades and found that they want to wipe the front
shroud instead of the windshield. Is this mis-assembly of the wiper gear
unit, reversed wiring or what? I have checked to see that the wiring is
connected correctly - #1 to green-black, #2 to green, black to E. If the
wiring was reversed inside the case would it operate in reverse? If so
would
the reversed motor cause the symptom I'm getting? Thanks for any
suggestions.
