Screw type distributor caps don't have any more problem with supressor wires
than they do with solid wires.

The distributor caps on the Hundreds with the screw-in acorn nuts use little
copper split washers that are designed to hold the bare the ends of the
wires that are splayed out to trap the strands under the washer. This is
designed to lock the assembly in place. This system cannot hold the
supressor wires very effectively with their carbon or cloth like material.
They therefore have been known to work their way loose and fall out.
