Charlie -

Fitting the rear pipes can only go on one way.

The two silencers should be lined up with each other, so if you have one
offset with the other more than 1/4" it won't look right. The two rear
pipes are set apart by the distance of the two British pipe clamps which
bolt together at the rear, and set apart by the rear hanger mechanism
located under the boot floor. You really don't have much choice on spacing
or location - just get off your tush and bolt it together, you will see how
it goes together. Actually the rear silencers are much easier to mount than
the intermediate pipes if you ask me.

The rear clamps were clamped just below the upwards bend at the factory,
but in practice the clamps there are unnecessary and frankly look a bit ugly
if you ask me.

One note - go to home depot or ace hardware and buy 4 large diameter rubber
fender washers and use those under the metal fender washers to mount up the
rear hangar piece. You do this and it will last a lifetime.
