A lot of times this caused by tire separation. They separate
internally and can be hard to detect. The easiest way is to run your
hand around the tire and you will feel flat spots. Also you must pay
close attention to age of your tires. We have an article coming out
soon in Healey Marque that covers tires and tire dating. Tires
should be replaced about every 8 years no matter what the wear due
to the tires getting hard and starting separate internally.

Its not worth having a tire come apart while driving just to try and
get a few more years out of a set. There was a club member killed
several years ago due to tire separation and causing a fatal accident
so lets all be safe out there and pay attention to the age of the tires.
