Good afternoon,
Charlie, I had a similar problem not that long ago.
The fix was to remove the white wire with a black trace from the CB
connector of the coil.
Have not had a reoccurrence since.
Rod.

Subject: [Healeys] Stalling Problem

Took my Healey for a drive this evening and within about 1/2 mile, it began
sputtering so I pulled off to the side of the road and it stalled. I had a
similar problem a few months ago and found I had a loose coil connection.
So I thought that may be the problem this time as well. I unplugged/plugged
the coil cable and checked the other cables. I started the car and let it
idle for a few minutes and all seemed OK. Put the hood down and took off.
I got maybe 500 yards and it did the same thing. I appear to be getting
fuel to the engine - gas gauge says 3/4 full. Any thoughts on what would
cause this would be appreciated as I'm hoping to take a road trip this
weekend.
