I agree with Alan, when I had my Hundred I rebuilt the carbs when I first
got the car, then about 8 years later rebuilt the motor, I needed to rebuild
the carbs again to get it tuned right, as they ran rich (I had not replaced
the needles and jets on the first rebuild).
That being said the running rough and overheating could be caused by timing
being off, would check that before I started tearing things apart, good
luck.
