Hi Dave,

I have one on my shift lever boot.  It'll fit if you put it over the stem on 
the 
boot before sliding the boot over the shift lever.  It helps to put a little 
silicone oil on the lever beforehand.

This'll bring up the old 'stem up or down' discussion.  It's probably supposed 
to be down, but why bother chroming the ring if you can't see it?  Anyway, in 
my 
experience the boot lasts a LOT longer with the stem up.
