I try to make it a habit to put the fuel cap in my pocket while refueling.
Anyplace else and it's likely to be left behind, as has happened to me
before.

I got a replacement from Autozone a few years back. IIRC, they were able to
cross-reference the A-H part. Fits perfectly.
I carry a spare cap in my onboard parts cache--forgetting to re-install the
cap is one of my paranoias.
