Many years ago, I used an old sliding seat frame from a Vega (yuch) and
mounted it directly on the floor until I could find a new seat slide. I am not
tall but I wanted to see if it could be done. It worked and the slide worked,
unfortunately I was like a kid, as I could barely see over the dash.
