Wow, what a drastic measure that PO went through.   You may want to consider 
just keeping the set up you have.  The cost of new splines and wheels is not 
a cheep investment by any means especially if your car needs work in other 
areas.

  Then you need to check the truing , spoke condition ya da, ya da, ya da,. 
on a periodic basis.

Used is not a good idea cause you just don't really know what the part has 
been through in the past.
Using used splines with new wheels is a real toss up.  Not recommended
