Bob:

I think the item you are referring to is a support bracket that goes to the
left of your steering wheel bracket. It attach to the outside of the steering
column bracket using the same bolt that holds the steering collar to the
bracket on one end and the other end is attached to the driver side chassis
above the kick panel held by one of the windshield post bolt.
