It seems that Rich probably has the best arguments here.  Probably if you
are starting with a new harness with new copper, the quality of the
connection is stronger for a longer period of time.  With my cars, I'm
dealing with 50-60 year old harnesses and old brass fittings.  I am slowly
working my way through my collection so maybe in the next 5 years everything
will be new!
