I would just pull the engine.  Even if that doesn't reveal where the bolt
landed, you will be guaranteed of having some leftovers upon reassembly that
you can use to affix the rad.

Children?  :)  Yours or someone else's?

I have looked there.  I have this nagging feeling that I should pull the rad
out again.  All I would need is for this bolt to be wedged somewhere between
the rad and somewhere where it will do the rad in.
