I don't think you need the petrol pump disconnected......with the plugs out,
there will be no vacumm to draw fuel into the cylinders (except for the 5
seconds of the actual test).

Fully warmed up engine, petrol pump disconnected or blocked, plugs out,
trottle(s) wide open, spinning the engine (appr. 5 seconds) untill you
get max. reading on compression gauge.
