the fri trip was uneventful until we lost the a/c between dumas and dalhart
in the tx panhandle. we had to "rough" it on in to dalhart. left dalhart
early with temp a cool 70. we were in colorado springs by 11 am.
we used 45 gals over the 771 mile trip avg a shade over 20mpg..
since there has been talk of old road warriors, make note of the fact that
on the 15th of this month, i'll chalk up my 76th and can still get in and
out of a BN6 with a hardtop.
