John, I just bought a battery for my '66 BJ8 that is 10 inches long by 6.5
inches wide and 7-1/4 inches high. There is plenty of room left. It
appears to my tape measure than any battery 11 inches long by up to 9-1/2
inches high should itself clear the boot lid by a comfortable margin, but
make sure the battery hold-down J-hooks don't interfere with the boot lid.

Good afternoon all,

I was about to purchase a new battery for my 1966 BJ8...specifically
an Interstate MEGA-TRON Plus 24 (as it has a 800 CCA rating), but
became concerned as to its size (width: 6.88 height: 8.75 length:
11.0).

Given the batterys 11 inch length would the boots lid close without
alteration?

Thank you for any guidance offered.

John
