Sam -

If the gearbox only has a filler plug on the right side, it is a BN1
gearbox.  If the gearbox has a dipstick on the top, then it is a BN2 box.

Also, if the bellhousing & gearbox are all cast as one piece, then it's a
BN1 box.  If the bell housing is bolted to the gearbox as a separate piece,
then the box is for a BN2.
