Is this a two pack epoxy?  If so it sounds like you didn't mix it well
enough and part of it didn't get enough of the fixing agent/hardner.
You can try spraying some fixer on it, or alternatively you can put
the whole business in an oven for a couple hours at around 250 or so.
You will need to replace the seals if you do this.
