a milestone. fired up engine this evening. runs good, no leaks, good oil
pressure. will sort out small stuff tomorrow and get it on the road by the end
of the week. amazing how dry storage helps process. all lights worked, horn,
wipers, heater blower, fuel pump, gauges(have not got it hot enough yet to
check temp guage), rpm. all bolts came out easily and all looked to be
original. gas tank was pretty solid with varnish and took a while to clean
out. no rust inside tank. all bad rubber has been replaced and chrome all
polished up. no pits in the chrome. will report again after road test.
