Hi Michael and all,

Any idea if we can buy and store tires?

I suspect not, yet thought I=E2=80=99d ask.

=20

I have a set of Michelin=E2=80=99s,, they look perfect yet are 12 years =
old and that make me nervous

I=E2=80=99m installing them on the 65 BJ8 that I=E2=80=99ll have to sell =
in the spring, not that it make it road worthy, yet they are =
better/newer then what=E2=80=99s currently on there.

=20

My Vredestein are good on my driver BJ8, yet not as good in road =
handling (IMHO).=20

I can=E2=80=99t help to wonder if we can=E2=80=99t buy, hide/store tires =
and bring them out in the future.

Yes Tom quite true. I didn't know that Kuhmo made that size ever... I =
would have jumped on a set for sure..

I have been searching for 165/80 15 tires for about 40 years and these =
Classic All Seasons are first I have ever seen in that size...=20

I know tires deteriorate with age but given how hard i had to look to =
find these I going to buy another set...I'm betting that they won't be =
around for long.

This is always a good subject, and one where the older archived posting =
may not be much help.

I put a set of Kuhmo 165/80R15 tires on my car about 5 years ago, and i =
think I paid just under $50 per tire. There were perhaps half a dozen =
similarly priced tires in this size. Now it seems choices for 165/80R15 =

&width=3D165%2F&ratio=3D80&diameter=3D15&zipCode=3D#0
In all my years of Healeying I have never come across this size in a =
radial.
The inflated diameter is only 0.2" smaller than a Dunlop Road Speed.
Obviously not a "performance" tire...and made in China but, lets get =
real, by today's standards a Healey is not the epitome "state of the =
