Thanks for the suggestions, but I have it all sorted now and in traffic,
with over 100 degrees F outside temp, I now run at 180 in the car. Works for
me and has worked for over a year now.

Also being that the front sections of the inner fenders are missing, and
you have no air director panels, no air was going through the radiator. I
would address that first.
The flattened fins can be "combed" straight so air would flow through them.

Mine is #598 and has no divider panel. So there's one number for you.
These shots were from a while ago as I was trying to solve an overheating

radiator and different fan. Still have all the parts to go back to original

Very early BN1's had no vertical divider panel on the apron panel fitted
behind and below the grille and ahead of the radiator.

I am working on body number #793. I am not confident about the details as
many parts seem to have been "substituted" during a previous restoration.

The apron on this car appears to be a reproduction and has the divider
panel fitted.

The parts book does not specify a body or car number as to when the
divider panel was added.

Does anyone have a definitive car or body number for this change?

Many thanks,

Michael S

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
