Remove the shift boot and see if the problem goes away. A lot of time I =
see that the gear lever jams against the boot and the tunnel. Not =
allowing the transmission to go completely into gear.

A friend of mine is having problems with his BJ8 gearbox. Despite 1 =
thorough rebuild (with a lot of new parts from Denis Welch I believe) =
and another 2 mechanics that took it apart and back, it still has the =
same problem =E2=80=93 it jumps out of 2nd gear when driving steady (do =
acceleration or deceleration).

=20

Anyone knows a good rebuild service for these gearboxes in UK? Germany =
is also an option, as it=E2=80=99s close to Poland, too..
