All the 6 cylinder transmissions are interchangeable except for the top =
shift to side shifters. the bell housings are all the same. There is an =
issue with the overdrive side cover hitting if you put the later =
overdrive in a earlier car. Also the early transmissions did not have a =
seal at the front of the transmission. they used a reverse screw however =
you can modify the early bell housing to accept a seal.
