I currently have the oil pan off my BJ8 ? to replace the gasket with one of
those newer silicon style ones.
While scratching around saw that there was a large threaded hole on the rear
main. Also one on the front main but smaller diameter.
My manual shows a drain pipe there.
Is it important ?
Do I need to fit one ?
Purpose ?
Read on another forum that removing it reduces leaks from the rear seal ?
What about the front threaded hole ? Manual doesn?t show anything ?
Thoughts please.
