Hi all,

I have just checked my late 65 BJ8 which has no holes.

As far as I'm aware it is an original trunk lid and has never had a
replacement panel on the lid
more than I can say for the remainder of the car as all of the lower
sections of the panels
required replacement when I purchased it 30 years or so ago
