50 years ago today, April 23rd, 1967, Richard and Trish Steil set off on their
honeymoon in their Black and white Austin Healey 3000. It was more than just a
holiday, they were emigrating from England to Australia, in their BJ8.
No support crew, just a couple of newlyweds on their honeymoon in a nearly new
BJ8, who spent the next 3 months driving their Healey half way across the
world. What an amazing adventure!
I spoke to them yesterday, and wished them a happy 50th wedding anniversary.
