Neil, I've attached the appropriate sheets from the BJ7/BJ8 BMC Body Service
Parts lists with the identification of the fender fasteners. I think I have
the definition of the fastener codes also if you need that.

Although I don't know for sure about the buffers, I would guess that they were
installed originally after the chassis was painted, not before.

Subject: [Healeys] Fender Fastener Diagram?

Hi all.

For a 67 BJ8 - I've looked through the archive and googled to see if I could
find the answer to which fasteners go where, and in which orientation.

All I was able to come up with was a reference to some diagram that used to be
on the Moss site (not there any longer that I can see), and a brief mention of
reversing the direction on the fronts of the front fenders)
http://www.ahexp.com/phorum/read.php?3,1118

Similarly, the Anderson / Moment book p 161 simply says "Since the fasteners
used to secure the fenders are of several different types, reference should be
made to the Service Parts List for details on the correct fasteners used in
each location" which I don't have :-(

Can anyone lend a hand / pointer?

One last thing - I believe I read somewhere that the rubber buffer for the
front wheel arch / fender was actually supposed to be painter body color, is
this accurate? Painting rubber? Obviously the paint could have come off over
the last 50 years, but the old ones had no indications or being painted.

Thanks for your help!

Neil
