If some of you remember I was on the list asking about original type and af=
ter market type tappets for my BN2 engine build.=C2=A0 I finally decided to=
buy the modified tappet that Denis Welch sells.=C2=A0 (cost with shipping =
$110)=C2=A0 These are the same after market types that the usual suspects s=
ell, but Welch machines a flat groove on two sides to aid oil drainage back=
to the pan.=C2=A0 With shipping by Royal Mail (the cheapest) I bought them=
on May 5th.=C2=A0 They are still in transit with no scheduled delivery dat=
e according to the United States Post Office.=C2=A0 For some odd reason the=
y sat at the airport in the UK for almost a week before departing for the S=
tates.=C2=A0 Once here (Miami, FL) they sat there for several more days bef=
ore entering the USPS system.=C2=A0 I purposely avoided the alternative off=
ered by DW (UPS).=C2=A0 I have been hearing from several sources UPS is hav=
ing problems and to avoid them.=C2=A0 Maybe I should have sprung for the UP=
S charges, even though they were substantially more.=C2=A0 Not sure who is =
at fault here;=C2=A0 me, Welch or the Royal Mail. =C2=A0 Just a note of cau=
tion if you are thinking of buying anything from a UK supplier through the =
Royal Mail.Mike MacLean
