Paul-If you assembled everything correctly and you have no leeks (a=0Apu=
n, sorry, couldn't resist-pun my name) but the pedal is still=0A"spongy"=
you still have air in the system. If this is the early 100-6=0Amaster c=
ylinder forget about it. That system is almost impossible to=0Ableed unl=
ess you pressure bleed it. That tiny reservoir is just not=0Acapable of=
holding enough fluid to effect a bleed. Suggest you upgrade=0Ato the la=
ter master cylinder with a separate canister. That will solve=0Athe blee=
ding issues.=0AHowever, the fact that you do not have a handbrake smacks=
of an=0Aassembly or adjustment or incorrect part problem. Did you get t=
he=0Aexact correct replacement brake shoes, or have your originals relin=
ed?=0AIf so, you should be able to adjust up and lock the wheels. Then b=
ack=0Aoff until they just rub. If the handbrake lever is not overstretch=
ed,=0Ayou should be able to make an adjustment for 5 or so clicks to loc=
k=0Athe wheels. Regards, Hank Leach (not Leech)=0A=0A=09----------------=

Brake problem=0A=0A Hi chaps =0A I'm looking for some drum brake advice=
for my 100/6. =0A My old brakes were binding or not working and, on tak=
ing them apart,=0AI realised a number of the brake cylinders had ceased.=
I managed to=0Afree a couple of them, replaced a couple more and refitt=
ed with new=0Abrake shoes all round. =0A Now, having bled the system wit=
h fresh brake fluid, the front drums=0Awork fine, but the rear drums do=
not work (ie the shoes do not move)=0Aat all. I have brake fluid gettin=
g to all four wheels and I have no=0Abrake fluid leakage anywhere (inclu=
ding from the brake cylinders). The=0Abrake pedal does feel slightly spo=
ngy (although not bad) and there is=0Ano air in the brake fluid coming o=
ut when bleeding. Also, the=0Ahandbrake no longer has any effect (on max=
imum adjustment)! =0A Any advice on where to look next would be grateful=
ly received :-) =0A Many thanks =0A Paul Leeks 100/6 BN4 =0A=0A PAUL=
