Oh, man, that ought to be sooo cool For a long
time about two years ago, I thought about taking
some big old MACK trucks I found lounging back in
the weeds and trees behind a local oil field and
turning them into giant big dually pickups.
Almost the same idea. The cabs on those old
Macks are so cool. I figured on using 500 inch
Caddy mills and rear axles from regular 1 ton
duallies, add a "cowboy sleeper behind the cab,
then a pickup bed. Chrome rims, acorn lugs, side
pipes, bed rails, etc, etc, oh yeah. I still
think that would be cool, but now I know that I
am getting way to "slowed down" to undertake so
many projects. The Camaro, the hemi-roadster,
the hemi-cobra, and the 49 Ford p/u are more than
I can expect to finish.
But then, again, if I truly retired and didn't
have to waste 40 hours a week on the job ....
uh ... can't do that. I didn't hit that lottery
last night.
