Malcolm, thank you for that bit of news, no, it was not mentioned in our
local newspaper.  Donald Campbell was a great and respected sportsman,
as was his father.  

In 1978 I drove by the shores of Lake Coniston while visiting some
friends nearby, and thought about the death of Donald Campbell.
