Yes, folks our season snow total is about 295". There's another 5"
predicted for overnight tonight, so we'll for sure get to and beyond the 25
foot mark for the season.
Six months from this weekend we'll be at World of Speed. Hope the snow is
gone from here by then. . .
For those of you that haven't experienced snow in these quantities, think of
the Salt Flats (in appearance -- miles and miles of nothing but white).
However, if you spit a watermelon seed on the snow it'll eventually warm up
from sunlight (assuming there is still a sun -- haven't seen it much since
last November) and melt down through the snow. Spit 'em out on the Salt and
they stay there.
No, don't spit 'em out on the Salt. They'd stay there and spoil the
pristine-ness of the Salt, and the BLM would have reason to be cranky. Use
the waste receptacles.
