           Oops, my bad! The engine actually specs out at 4.156" x 
2.796" according to the fellow who certified  legally. At  302.602 cu. 
in., it is well within the maximum for "D" class. Its in a 1978 Buick 
Skyhawk in D/CGC. I'll try to provide a little more info. without being

                           Block= Stock 2-bolt 400 sbc with Milodon 
splayed main caps - filled and drilled water passages - wet sump
                                             Crank= Moldex 2.8" with 
large main and small rod journals
Rods= 6.125 Eagle "H" beam
Pistons= Venolia 4.155 " with 14:1 comp.
Rings= Total Seal
Cam= Lunati- .801"x .753 with 1.72 Jesel rockers- (don't try this at home)
Head gasket= .060 three piece Cometic (sp?)
Heads= Dart/Buick  1.62"x 2.10" A.F.R. ported and filled
Manifold= Dart- raised and filled
Carb= 750 Holley with Proform center section
Ignition= MSD
             Power goes through a Ram clutch and Muncie 4-speed to a 
Dana #44 rear with a 2:88 posi. We use
27.5 M/T front runner type tires which gives us about 8000 rpm at 220 mph.
