My understanding was that you had to be able to get out of the car
without moving but the steering wheel. If you want to have a top, it must be
the
stock top. You can chop the top but must keep the original width.

If you start with a coupe that is true. If you start with a roadster and want
to add a lakester/streamliner style canopy there is no restriction for 2003.
