I am buying a new Cobra this year as my old Midland is hurting. I plan to go
with the $100. price area as it's a much better radio and has more features.
Just make sure the antenna is connected and matched before keying down the
Mic. Also external speakers are available at any radio shack or radio store.
Hooking up a CB to listen to in the pits requires a different type of
antenna unless you us a hand held. Mobile whip antennas don't need a ground
plane like a roof or magnetic base mounted unit.

Any features (specifically useful for LSR) would be great to know about.  I
have seen some CBs hooked to a loudspeaker in some pits but don't have a
