Had an interesting talk with Larry Volk today. Save the Salt President. The
short story on salt pumping is.... Reilly isn't pumping because the BLM hasn't
finished or signed their lease paper work yet. So Reilly feels no obligation
to do anything. Apparently there is no, nor will there be any, legal
requirement from the BLM for them to replenish the salt. Reilly only does what
they have done so far to improve there public perception. They are a big
company and are being sued over other environmental issues in other areas too.
Perhaps the papers will be signed by February, so we may get a few months of
pumping in, if Reilly chooses to make the effort.
