Hudson Boys #307

I snapped a pic of the Hudson Boys' #307 car at SW and I'm curious 
about a coupla things that I forgot to check into.  Is the car:

chopped Honda CRX?  And what motor is under that bulge in the 
hood?  I've been wondering for a couple of days now as I'm tryin to 
put the web pages together for that meet.
