Location of TD Turn Signal Swtich

Can anyone commpent on the location/attachment site for the turn
indicator switch on late model TD's. Mine is a '53 but I can find no
holes under the dash for the two bolts on the switch bracket. 
 
Thanks in adavance. I got the carpet installed today. Now I am down to
cosmetic  issues like seats, top and side curtains.
