Unfortunatly the pictures do not do it justice, the metal that the
belt is looped around is actually not sharp at all. I had the same
inital concent but after investigation it is no shaper then the metal
loop the belt is tied to from the belt factory. Where the belt
overlaps the metal the belt is actually doubled up in material in that
areas. I did put some protective material around the edge of the board
to prevent the wood from tearing the belt in any way.

Unfortunatly there is no real good spot so you do the best you can and
at the end of the day it is better then no belts at all :)  That is if
you have the opinion belts are better then no belts :)
