Adrian:
My TR6 was painted with a basecoat/clearcoat type paint. You saw it at the
Townsend show, so you can be the judge of how it looked (it won second place
in the TR6 group).
Personally, I don't like to see the LBCs painted with too high a gloss paint.
Even though I am certainly no purist, It doesn't seem natural somehow. These
cars are not "modern" cars, and I just don't think the modern high gloss
paint fits. It's a matter of personal opinion, of course, and I am sure
others will vehemently disagree with me. (keep in mind I'm an "old fart" and
weigh my opinion accordingly)
