On the custom wheel for MGB subject. I have found that the stock spec
Datsun 280Z 14"wheel is the ideal width and offset for the B. Painted
silver, they even look pretty correct. I know a guy in NorCal who had some
hubcap "mushrooms" like on an early Sprite wheel machined, drilled three
holes in the wheels and installed stock hubcaps! I've also seen these
wheels used on an MGA and a Morris Minor with Datsun running gear. There
were a number of custom wheels made to this spec as the dealerships would
cancel the chassis portion of the warrentee if they fitted wider or more
