Hi Folks,

Well, now that the World Cup is coming to a close, it's time to get back =
to
reality. ie, fixing the MG.

There is a clunk coming from the back - sounds like from the driver side
wheel. It has always made this clunk when going really slow (like in a
car parking lot) and suddenly letting off the gas, but now it's getting
more frequent and at higher road speeds. In fact, it startles pedestrian=
s.

The back wheels (wire) have no slop and the U joints seem tight. I
removed the driver's side wheel and the brake drum and positioned one of=

the protruding studs at 12 o' clock. With a ruler across the stud, there=

appears to be 1/8" of slop when moving the stud to turn the hub. Does th=
is
tell you anything?

Any advice would, as always, be most appreciative.

Regards, Adrian
