Hi All,

First, the bad news:
My 79 B has been out of commission FOUR times in the last month! First, =
the battery died. Two days later, the diaphragm in the carburator =
ripped. As soon as that was fixed, my fuel pump goes (for the second =
time in a year, I might add). Four days later, the muffler falls off on =
the freeway. How's that for pathetic? Other than those things, my B is =
a strong daily driver that doesn't usually let me down. So, despite all =
this bad behavior, I'd like to upgrade my suspension.

I'm thinking about getting Spax adjustable shocks from Moss for the =
rear. My left rear shock link and u-bolts are already shot, so I figure =
I might as well do it all now. However, I am not as mechanically =
inclined as I'd like to be, so it will have to be done in the shop. Can =
anyone offer me any advice about this modification? What type of =
improvement in ride quality and handling can I expect from the Spax? =
Has anyone done this before? I don't want to go for it unless I am =
confident that the handling and bumping around is much improved. I'm =
open to any other thoughts and suggestions, if anyone else out there has =
modified a suspension.

Thanks!
