Joe-

The 1980 B's had a retaining clip on the radiator to hold the sender in
place. This was the only year that had the clip.

There is a Jag equal to the retaining rubber that has a longer tube
section, & holds the sensor more firmly in the radiator, works quite
well without the retaining clip. Sorry, no part #, Will at Moutjoys Auto
Shop has been selling them for years.

This might be a good time to get rid of the 1980 sensor & swap it for
the '77-'79 unit. The '80 lets the heat build to over 200` before it
turns the fans on, in an effort to make the engine run hotter for better
emissions results. Good for emissions, hard on the engine.

Remember, the rubber retainers are one time use pieces, designed to be
replaced each time the sensor is removed.
