Well, coming from FL by way of VA, NC, SC, and MD (with a brief layover in
PA), I consider Florida a southern state.... at least down as far as St.
Augustine... certainly was part of the Civil War.... and I always thought of
that as being the main factor in being Southern... besides that, we lay claim
to the Swanee River!! Basically, I think you can consider anyplace that wishes
all the Yankees would quit complaining and just move back home if they don't
like it to be a Southern spot...
