I'm in a three-year-old house in a six-year-old neighborhood. I can only
get up to 26.4Kb. When I complained to Pac Bell, they claimed that it was
because I was behind a repeater from the switch. So I'm SOL for now.
I've tried Compuserve, AT&T, Earthlink, MSN, and even the direct dial-up
to work. The only possible glimmer is that Pac Bell has announced the
availability of DSN in our town late this year. So they must be putting
in a digital switch. So maybe my analog connection will improve.
