Carpets

I am too cheap to buy the right carpet set and all I need is the trans
piece which I got from my brother in great shape. The problem is that it
is not preshaped for the early B step in the trans. so it bunches up aft
of the shifter as it slopes down. Other than it is a great carpet piece.
Any tips on taking out the folds? I would much rather fix what I have
and save the $$ for other things.
