Had the same problem with my 79 B. First time it was the Rostyles which
were warped. The second time, it was not knowing how to balance the
replica minilites (stick-on weights on the outside and standard clip on
weights on the inside to clear tie rod end). The most recent was a couple
of weeks ago....two new front tires and I was back to the shakes. Four
attempts to balance didn't do the job but on last attempt, we took the tire
off and noticed the belt joint inside the tire was not holding. It was
split and as the speed increased, the tire went slightly out of round...no
way to balance that! Maybe the tire is the problem. My tire man said he
had only seen this problem three times in the past ten years.
