So  does your MG have some type of water injection?  Why would you spray 
starting fluid into the radiator?

In any event if your plugs are wet you have too much gas going in the 
cylinders.  Starting fluid won't help a flooding condition.  Is the choke 
pulled out?  If so push it in.  check to see if your carbs are flooding.  You 
might want to try disabling the fuel pump and cranking the engine to clear 
out some of the excess fuel.
