It's common to have a little bit of a burn thru on the block surface and
head where the breach had occurred. If you feel or see this then redeck the
head. I would steer away from the copper gasket and get a good composite
one. I always but a light coat of silicon around the water passage holes on
both the head and block surface and use the John Twist thin copper wire
stran tip.
